Call for paper

To propose a paper, send an e-mail to aseptic@aseptic-surgery-forum.com with the title, a ten-line summary and key points of the paper, name photo and short CV of the speaker.

Submission language: French or English

As the goal is to have an international audience, there will be a simultaneous French-English and English-French translation.

The theme of the conference contribution of technological innovations, diagnosis, good practices and proper patient management. Legal and economic aspects of surgical infections; means and technologies to limit the number of infections; preparation for surgery, prevention treatment.

 

Themes for 2012 programme, taking the environment and sustainable development into account:

  • Innovation for prevention, diagnostics and treatment for surgical infection
  • From contamination to infection: prevention or precaution principle? Risk management
  • Infection risk factors from the patient: tabac, malnutrition, immunity, comorbidity, bacterial carrying etc
  • Infection risk the environment : Hospital Hygien, air-water-surface quality; operating room design, sterilization, traceability, cleaning and disinfection; hand hygiene, skin preparation and health worker equipement
  • Biofilms and implants infection
  • Surgical instruments, ancillary equipment and medecal devices : innovations in materials, surface treatements and coating, cleaning, desinfection and sterilization, packaging, traceability, etc
  • Prophylactic antiobiotic and antibiotic treatment: mode of action, bacterial resistance, new molecules
  • The cost of prevention and infection
  • Amputation in terme of spetic : indications, equipment and perspectives
  • Infections in other surgical specialities : the present situation
