The French Society of Hospital Hygiene is a non profit organization whose goals are:
The study of Hospital Hygiene Problem in general such as the promotion of quality sanitary care, the evaluation and accreditation, the health safety, the epidemiology and prevention of the hospital-acquired infections.
The organization of scientific meetings and the publication of any documents relating to the prevention of hospital acquired infections such as analyzing and improving this fight; the organization of working groups for recommendation and all other actions that could be necessary on this matter.

International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology
The SICOT XXV Triennial World Congress will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, from 6th to 9th September 2011. EORNA (European Operating Room Nurses Association)
EORNA was founded in 1980 by a group of innovative European perioperative nurses and formally launched in Copenhagen Denmark in 1992. There are currently 24 member associations. The EORNA board is comprised of at most two representatives from the official associations in each member country. EORNA exists to enhance and develop perioperative patient care across Europe.
It does this by: promoting and maintaining a high standard of perioperative patient care, being the influential voice of perioperative nurses in Europe, linking and collaborating with relevant European and international organizations, developping EORNA ACE - a paneuropean Accreditation Council for Education (congress and e-learning courses)
AFISO (French-speaking Operating Room Nurses Association of Belgium)
AFISO exists in Belgium since 1986 with the aim of valuing the care of the patient in the surgical unit
Its objectives are to promote the quality of the care of the patient to the surgical unit, to group together OR nurse, to facilitate the recognition, the status and the function of the OR nurse, to assure the in-service training of his(her) members and to participate in the research in care, to value OR nurse’s specialization in Belgium.
AfPP The Association for Perioperative Practice is a registered charity providing training and education, professional guidance and support to practitioners working in surgical settings and their related services across the UK. AfPP works with its 6,500 members to enhance the quality of care in the NHS and the independent sector.
AfPP2011 is the 47th annual congress and exhibition from 19-21 October 2011. This year’s event takes place in Bournemouth and will focus on Challenges and Change: leading from the front line. The programme offers delegates an understanding of the fundamental change of healthcare delivery in the UK and the effects of these changes which are starting to be felt by perioperative practitioners.
